This year, ZW3D Design Contest themed at “Foot Gear”, as we want to celebrate the joy of FIFA World Cup with engineers and football fans together. We were thrilled with the quality and creativity of submissions we received from all of you! ZW3D expert judges had their work cut out for them, and the judging is now complete. We’re happy to show everyone the winners for the ZW3D Design Contest 2018.
Winner, Football Shoe, Remus Pacis
This design work of football shoe not only perfectly matches the theme of football but also shows the flexibility of ZW3D CAD. Designer Remus expertly uses ZW3D modeling function and assembly capability. He also used some advanced features, such as variable fillet, surface tools, and morphing function.
The second place, Soccer T-shirt, Tataru Ionut Ovidiu
This is a colorful polo shirt, which is created with surfaces and solids by ZW3D. It’s a good idea to demonstrate the contest theme. Football players wear polo shirts to represent their country and culture. The design shows ZW3D can help the suppliers to design conveniently with solid-surface hybrid technology.
The third place, Trumpet, Juno Thomson
This is a trumpet designed by ZW3D using simple features including exclude, revolve and fillet. It’s a simple stuff which matches football themed, usually seen in a football match. It also used the rendering function that is an easy job for a newbie.
